Every year on Mother's Day, the Methodist Church of Grace celebrates Parents' Day, honoring the hard work and dedication of parents. While not everyone has a spouse or children, we all have parents who, though not perfect, play a role in our lives that is close to that of God. They have sacrificed, cared for, and taught us, and we should understand their vulnerabilities. Before the event began, the youth prepared handmade love pins to express gratitude to each parent in attendance. During the event, the Children's Sunday School performed songs for the parents, and Pastor Fang reminded them to raise their children according to biblical teachings, emphasizing that the happiness of the family is built on a close relationship with God. Each parent also received a gift of goat milk soap as a token of appreciation. We hope that every participant leaves with God's grace, allowing Jesus to become the center of their family.

On the recent Easter Sunday, our church held a solemn yet joyful baptism ceremony, during which eight adults and two children were baptized. In the presence of our brothers and sisters in Christ, they symbolically died, were buried, and rose again with the Lord, declaring their commitment to follow Him for the rest of their lives and to live out their new life in Him. Before the baptism, the adult candidates, led by our pastor, publicly declared their faith, expressing their determination to never turn back. This heartfelt moment moved everyone present. During the baptism, one sister humbly knelt down, entrusting her life to the Lord, while the baptismal waters symbolized her rebirth. At the same time, the two children were baptized with their parents by their side, showcasing the beautiful legacy of faith being passed down. After the ceremony, all the baptized individuals took photos with the pastor and church leaders, marking a new beginning in their faith journey and a day of celebration for the entire church community. May the Lord continue to strengthen the faith of the newly baptized.

On Thursday evening, the church held a special service for Good Friday, where believers gathered together to quietly reflect on the suffering and sacrifice of Christ. During the service, through Scripture readings, hymns, prayers, and a brief message, we returned once again to the foot of Calvary, gazing upon our Savior who was crucified for the world. As the lights dimmed, a solemn atmosphere of worship filled the space, allowing everyone to collectively remember the darkness of that night while holding onto the hope of resurrection. It was a quiet yet powerful evening, deepening our understanding of the vastness of the Lord's love and inspiring us to respond more sincerely to His love. All the brothers and sisters present at the Good Friday service also took a group photo together, reminding us that "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans)
