As we enter August, the month of missions, how can we not go out and spread the gospel for the Lord? On this beautiful Saturday, a group of 27 “missionaries” from Jia En Church set out to bring the Lord's gospel to the lovely lakeside city of Taupo.
Around 11 a.m., after about two hours of travel, we safely arrived at Lake Taupo, where we began our day of ministry with prayer. Following this, we split into groups to distribute flyers for an afternoon health seminar and gospel booklets in various areas frequented by the local Chinese community. The people we encountered ranged from local Chinese shop owners and ordinary citizens to Chinese tourists, as we scattered the seeds of God's gospel one by one.
After lunch, we arrived at the rented church venue to begin the highlight of the day: the health seminar. This included worship songs and performances by children with musical instruments, creating a joyful atmosphere for everyone.
Children are a heritage from the Lord, and how blessed we are to serve Him with the talents He has given us!
Dr. Lu (brother) brought us an outstanding public lecture on “Understanding Cancer.”
The deeper we explored the origins and treatments of cancer, the more we could appreciate the wonder and mystery of the body that our Creator has given us—His temple. The renewal and self-healing capabilities of our body’s cells are truly astonishing, unmatched by any advanced technology.
After the lecture, we enjoyed two beautiful pieces of music that refreshed our spirits, allowing us to forget the fear of “cancer” and remember the power of our Creator.
“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” - Psalm 8:3-4
It is so wonderful that we, who are so unworthy, can freely receive God's love. He gives us the breath of life and provides for all our needs, exceeding our thoughts and imaginations. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for knowing you, trusting you, and proclaiming you is the greatest blessing of our lives!
