From October 2022 to April 2023, the gatherings at the Jiaen Church were frequent, and the children thrived under the diligent teaching of their teachers. During the November meeting, the ladies from the Cantonese group actively participated, continuing their gatherings until March. During this period, we also held the ordination ceremony for deacons and the sixth interim annual conference, celebrating the establishment of the New Zealand Chinese Methodist Church. Sister Iris shared her faith journey, from her initial understanding of Jesus to her eventual decision to be baptized. She emphasized the importance of sincere faith and how her understanding of Christianity deepened through learning and participating in church activities.

Capernaum

The Queenstown Mission Team held its activities from April 14 to 16, 2023, with 13 participants from three families. The events included outreach work on Friday and Saturday, during which we connected with 26 individuals and distributed 20 flyers. On Saturday evening, Dr. Chi-Yi Zhou hosted a heart health seminar, which attracted a new believer. On Sunday afternoon, Pastor Fang delivered a sermon, and Brother Mao-Xiang shared his testimony, while the youth participated actively in the events. During this time, we also visited seven local coworkers to offer encouragement and prayer.
